Global Discipleship Training

Global Interaction and CALAM Training are committed to providing experiences for young people that will challenge, stretch and change them. We believe GDT provides an excellent learner-centered approach to study that is flexible, experiential and practical. One-on-one mentoring with experienced professionals on the field provides invaluable insights, training and encouragement.

GDT caters for young adults (or young at heart) who may be making life decisions and choices that will impact their future. At this crucial time of change and often uncertainty, GDT will help participants focus on Jesus and His call on their lives. They will gain a taste of theological and practical studies and experience life on the mission field first hand.

GDT is an integral part of sharing the Global Interaction vision with young people – following the unchanging Christ in a changing world, making disciples, building and empowering the church worldwide in holistic mission.

Gi6 – stands for Generation Isaiah 6. Gi6pro is a generation of Christian, young professionals who would, in the spirit of the early believers and great mission movements in history, simply raise their hand under the call of the master and say “here am I send me”!

Gi6pro is the opportunity for young professionals (over 21 yrs of age) to serve for 1-2 years in Asia, Africa and outback Australia with Global Interaction (Global Interaction). Global Interaction long term workers have requested people to use their professional skills and work alongside them to advance the long-term goal of establishing faith movements among the people and cultures in which they serve. The benefit for Gi6pro participants is that their lives will be changed. Values, direction and decisions will be forever shaped by this valuable cross-cultural experience. Global Interaction has established clear job descriptions, references and performance appraisals for Gi6pro volunteers to enhance their career while serving overseas. For some, it may be an opportunity to ‘taste and see’ mission within their professional framework before possibly exploring opportunities for long-term service. Professions currently needed are teachers, accountants, anthropologists, development workers, IT specialists and medical staff.
