UNEARTHED

Global Interaction is committed to the ongoing support, nurture and development of Global Xposure participants. One forum for this is the Unearthed network. Unearthed is a gathering of mission minded young adults who have been involved in short term mission experiences and have come back changed people. Unearthed is an informal, dynamic gathering for the pooling of common wisdom, searching of Scriptures and reflection on global issues. Unearthed is about action, learning, dreaming, hoping and thinking. The desire of the Unearthed team is to nurture creative imagination and to unearth a new generation of global Christians with a heart for the gospel of Jesus.

The Unearthed Network aims to be a safe place to ask risky questions about how and why we do church, mission, evangelism and worship – it’s a place to dream about what can be for the sake of God’s kingdom…and possibly see it happen. It’s about unearthing the treasures of those who walked before us – right back to the Scriptures, and unearthing new leaders in mission as we apply the principles to different contexts in today’s world. We want to nurture the attitude that mission is not an occupation – mission is life and life is mission. Whether locally or globally, we are invited to take part in the work of seeing the grace of Jesus revealed in every community, culture, sub-culture and people group.

The Unearthed network gathers once every 6-8 weeks in various venues across Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. There will be informal times to feast together, share stories, chew over issues and learn from experienced mission practitioners. Each night will have a set topic, guest facilitator, multimedia and culinary delights from around the globe.

Unearthed also aims to facilitate missional project observations, readings, mentoring, strategic networking and support for people interested in learning more. For more information on unearthed in your state, look at our Events page or contact Susan Campbell scampbell@globalinteraction.org.au
